Job Description
Machakos County, nicknamed ‘Macha,’ was the first capital city of Kenya and is now an administrative county in Kenya. Machakos is made up of eight (8) constituencies including Machakos Town, Mavoko, Masinga, Yatta, Kangundo, Kathiani, Matungulu, and Mwala. Machakos Town is the administrative capital of the County.

Duties and Responsibilities
- reviewing internal control systems in operation report on any weakness;
- undertaking special audit assignments and preparing detailed audit observations and report as required by his/her superior, reviewing internal controls on issuance of authority to incur expenditure and commitments;
- reviewing internal revenue/ Appropriation –In-Aid collection and accounting from time to time & advice on deviations from approved levels;
- ensuring that government assets; plant equipment, supplies; stores etc are appropriately recorded in the relevant register and are maintained & kept safety.
- Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must;
- Be in possession of a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting / Finance Option)
OR
- Have passed CPA Part II or CIA part II
