Our client is a vegetable farm in Isinya. They seek to hire a highly experienced sales executive who will be tasked with sourcing for markets for all their produce which include tomatoes, capsicum, cabbages and lettuce.

Title: Sales Executive – Fresh Produce

Location: Isinya, Kajiado County

Salary: Competitive

Responsibilities

  • Account Management that is identify new accounts; cross-sell and up-sell
  • Plan, prepare and present persuasive approaches and pitches to potential clients
  • Use an existing network of industry contacts to generate new business
  • Monitor day to day sales activities and provide insight for the improvement of sales and performance activities and understand training and development needs
  • Qualifying and validating sales leads or commitments
  • Oversee in timely preparation of tender documents, quotations, proposal presentations
  • Develop a business marketing plan and sales strategy for the assigned market that ensures attainment of the agreed individual, team and business unit sales target and expansion of the client or customer base
  • Research and identify the client needs and customize products best suited for them.
  • Market intelligence in the media industry
  • Regular reports on sales and business performance

Qualifications

  • Degree in Agriculture or related degree
  • At least 3-4 years’ sales experience in the agricultural industry
  • Should be well versed in vegetable farming
  • Should be conversant with greenhouse technology especially in tomato and capsicum farming
  • Should be conversant with vegetable and animal markets and their consumption patterns especially in Nairobi and its environs
  • Should be able to keep and manage huge client base of vegetable farming
  • Consistent track record in achieving sales targets
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and get things done to completion
  • A Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent networking and prospecting skills
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
