Title: Audit Associate,
Reporting to: Supervisor/Audit Manager,
Salary: Ksh 40,000 – 60,000/-,
Purpose of the role
To support the team in planning and managing audit assignments, enabling completion to a high standard within the set timeframe and budget. Audit associates draft financial statements, create budgets, carry out financial audits and check on an organizations’ financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and performing financial audits for clients
- Verifying company(ies) financial information.
- Preparing audit reports and statements for review.
- Resolving client(s) audit queries efficiently.
- Completing allocated tasks to a high standard which meet set reporting and auditing standards.
- Ensuring compliance of regulatory guidelines and generally accepted auditing standards.
- Reporting audit findings
- Acting as an ambassador of the firm, building relationships and promoting the firm at every opportunity to facilitate new business opportunities.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Required Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree /Diploma from a recognized university (Accounting Option is preferable)
- Professional accounting qualifications: ACCA/CPA
- Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards.
- QuickBooks knowledge, use of accounting and audit software is an added advantage.
- At least three (3) years’ professional experience working in an audit firm.
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and Self-Driven
