Registrar Obstetrics & Gynaecologist
Responsibilities
- Attend to antenatal mothers, review reports and conduct safe deliveries
- Undertaking clinical procedures and examinations
- Carrying out ward rounds with Senior Consultants
- Consulting on cases that the Senior House Officers may require guidance
- Oversee the running of the department
- Assist management in drawing up and implementation of policies and procedures for the department
- Advising and guiding management on procurement of equipment and supplies for the department
- Coaching and mentoring of Senior House Officers
- Supervision of Senior House Officers and Elective Students
- Ensure that Hospital policies and administrative regulations are well known and understood by staff
- Liase with HR & Talent Development to ensure proper staffing levels at all times
- Conduct CPD activities to ensure high standards of competency and efficiency in the department at all times
- Ensures that patients are given utmost attention and care at all times
- Make follow up on complaints and any concerns raised by patients
- Conduct surgeries, elective or emergencies
Required Qualifications for the Position
- Bachelors of medicine & Surgery
- Masters of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (MMED)
- Registered with KMPDC
- ECOG, EmONC, ALSO
