Project Overview and Role

Company Profile: Palladium develops and delivers innovative, locally relevant, evidence-based solutions to improve the health and well-being of people around the world. Since 1971, we have assisted governmental and non-governmental agencies, foundations, and the private sector by designing, implementing, and evaluating programs in HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, population and family planning, maternal and child health, infectious diseases, and gender.

Palladium has deep expertise in policy and advocacy, research and strategic information, health markets and private sector engagement, modelling and economic analysis, patient monitoring and management/HMIS, strategic consulting, and program management.

Project Profile: Palladium is implementing a cooperative agreement – USAID Tupime Kaunti formerly County Measurement, Learning and Accountability Program (CMLAP) in Kenya. The purpose of this activity is to support ongoing activities by the national and county governments and other development partners to strengthen outcome measurements, learning and accountability (MLA) systems in order to provide quality data and synthesized information for planning, implementation, policy development and decision making.

This activity focuses its support in the following HIV, malaria and MNCH in focal counties of Homabay, Migori, Kakamega, Busia, Vihiga, Bungoma, and Kisumu. In addition, the project anticipates supporting Nakuru, Baringo, Turkana and Samburu.

Responsibilities

  • Finance: The intern will support the finance function in processing payments, scanning and filing finance documents and photocopying.
  • Procurement & Administration: The intern will support the procurement function by assisting in sourcing for and analyzing quotes and bids, and processing documents to support payments and any other duties as assigned.
  • General Program support: Support data entry and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data from various sources and support in preparing activity/workshop handouts, materials and documents.

Requirements

  • A basic degree the Finance, social sciences, procurement or related. Accounting qualification CPA/ACCA an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PPT is required
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Performance period: The project support intern will be engaged with Tupime Kaunti project for three months with no expectation for extension
