Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent in Pharmacognosy from a recognized University
  • or be a holder of a Master’s degree in Pharmacognosy
  • A minimum of three (3) years of university teaching experience at the Lecturer or Research Fellow OR a minimum ofsix (6) years of industry experience in the relevant field level
  • The applicant must have supervised to completion of at least 3 post graduate students to completion as a lecturer or equivalent
  • The applicant must be a Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya and with a valid practising license
  • Must have at least 32 publication points, of which 24 should be from refereed journals in relevant areas since the last promotion
  • The applicant must also show evidence of community service
  • The applicant must have attracted research or development funds or educational resources as a Lecturer or Research Fellow since his/her last promotion
