Our Client offers notable car buying services with the goal of helping hundreds of customers to trade cars. They are scaling up rapidly and they need people who can share in their dreams and ambition to become the number one vehicle trading company by volume in Kenya. They seek to recruit a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for maximizing revenue generation through sales and partnership opportunities 

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and close profitable partnerships with banks, microfinance company’s and other car finances and loan institutions that provide financial assistance to potential car buyers
  • Understanding the entire business model and operations of a car dealership 
  • Responsible for developing strategies to hit sales targets and ensure an upward revenue growth trajectory 
  • Responsible for scouting and seizing car business opportunities in new markets, opening new branches, and ensuring their optimal sales performance and operations 
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing a high performing and motivated sales force in the region 
  • Responsible for ensuring that sales force throughout the region have an accurate and thorough knowledge of products and business processes 
  • Responsible for developing and implementing a motivation structure that ensures optimal performance of the sales team 
  • Develop and implement a clear strategy of acquiring car sellers, dealers, and brokers who will profit from the services of our client

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration or a similar field 
  • 1 Years’ prior experience as a Business Development Manager in a bank, a car finances and loan company, or a busy car dealership 
  • Proven experience in entering and closing big partnership deals
  • Proven track recording of leading and managing a sales team 
  • Proficiency in CRM software 
  • Ability to network and build 
  • Excellent negotiation skills 
  • Good planning, research, and organizational rapport skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
