Jijali is an online learning platform providing personalized and practical learning experiences in work readiness and entrepreneurship. Powered by Yusudi Limited , the platform combines online content, virtual mentorship, and practical tasks to deliver an effective and engaging learning experience.

We are looking for a project manager to oversee the overall management of our program to reach 1500 youth by June 2021. This role involves managing a team to ensure that program goals are achieved. The 5 departments include learning management, customer experience, learning content development, tech and marketing.

The project manager should be effective in strategy development, implementation, team management and M&E.

Outcomes (Between three to eight specific outcomes):

Outcome 1: By the end of six months, reach 1500 users on the Jijali platform

Outcome 2: Hire and maintain an A player OpenEdx Developer within three months

Outcome 3: By the end of six months, reach KES100,000 in income through B2B and B2BtoC sales .

Outcome 4: Maintain a minimum NPS score of 60 from Jijali trainees

Outcome 5: Ensure a learner retention rate of at least 70%

Outcome 6: Facilitate release of new content and improvements of existing content, with a minimum content NPS of 40

Outcome 7: Achieve at least 80% completion of planned activities in strategy

Outcome 8: 80% work satisfaction of team members

  • Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to grow the Jijali program
  • Support learning management, customer experience, content development, tech and marketing departments in planning and execution
  • Develop operational procedures to ensure efficiency
  • Product management: Develop suggestions for platform improvements and work with the OpenEdx developer to ensure their implementation
  • Hold weekly check-ins with the 5 Jijali departments
  • Evaluate progress towards program goals by analyzing NPS reports
  • Review new content and provide feedback on required improvements/additions
  • Support personal and professional development of team members
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders where required
  • Update the CEO on weekly and quarterly progress
  • Develop periodic reports for project funders and relevant stakeholders
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews and coaching sessions for team members
  • Represent Jijali/Yusudi at networking events and meetings
