Your Role
As Head of Market Research, you will play a key role in developing and influencing our brand, sales, marketing, and customer service strategies, as well as our software & hardware product design and pricing. You will provide day-to-day management of staff and initiatives and operate across teams to illustrate insights and share relevant learnings. With the support of a small team, you will implement the market research strategy and ensure excellent output for the commercial, product, and operations teams. You will serve as a champion for the voice of our customers and agents, helping to bring clarity around their behaviors and preferences through rigorous research, surveys, and in-depth analysis .

Responsibilities

  • Define departmental structure, objectives, and processes: build KOKO’s Market Research management and reporting structure; set team objectives, translate into clear deliverables; and design processes where they do not yet exist and update them as required as business priorities and environments change.
  • Develop KOKO’s Market Research strategy: set KOKO’s overall Market Research strategy and build & manage the research roadmap; align the strategic direction of the department with the overall business strategy and product innovation roadmap.
  • Provide in-depth Market Research insights & reports: design and lead in-depth customer and market focused research efforts using both quantitative and qualitative techniques; collect and analyze customer and market data for trends, patterns, and insights; respond to inbound research and insight requests.
  • Drive metrics data and reporting requirements: define a relevant set of metrics for frequent (eg, quarterly) assessment of business performance; standardize processes for recurring studies and metrics output. 
  • Utilize data-driven tools and platforms: make use of statistical methodologies & tools (eg, SPSS) for accurate data-driven insights; utilize geotools (eg, ArcGIS) to map & visualize the opportunity and geographies for expansion; process KOKO generated data to support market research insights.
  • Lead continuous improvement and change management: continue to build KOKO’s Market Research department to operate according to industry best practices, with maximum efficiency and effectiveness, and contribute to achieving KOKO’s company targets.
  • Design & lead field projects: drive the design & develop approaches for field-based initiatives.
  • Reporting and presentation of insights & results: translate data collected and study results into insightful and relevant output for consumption by internal & external stakeholders.
  • Support the development and growth of the team: manage a small team of Associates and Analysts; grow and support professional development of the team.
