The position reports to the Head of Mastercard Labs for Financial Inclusion. The (EA/OM) will be required to perform general administrative duties to support day-to-day operations in such areas as telephone coverage, scheduling of meetings, travel arrangements, expense reporting, calendar management, taking and distributing meeting minutes, copying, screening mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining records.
• Proactively manage the calendar of the Head of Mastercard Labs, taking into consideration different time zones and culture of a global organization • Seamless organization of relevant customer, management and cross functional meetings, providing all necessary support (i.e. IT, catering, etc. as required) • Flawless execution of all business travel for Head of Mastercard Labs, including expense management and travel booking on a timely basis • Serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company • Management of visits by Mastercard seniors to Kenya and Kenyan customers to global destinations, where the Head of Mastercard Labs is involved • Manage all contracting, sourcing, finance and vendor relationships in compliance with company policies • Manage all items related to and act as a point person for internal and external audits • Work on business projects to support the Head of Mastercard Labs on an ad hoc basis • Must be able to self-direct, self-motivate and work effectively with others at all levels of a global organization (i.e. team members, senior leaders, executive management and customers) • As the role will involve high-level client contact and may be exposed to sensitive information, both internally and externally, it is important to demonstrate confidentiality, good business judgment and diplomacy • Ability to function as a team member in a time-compressed, highly dynamic and ambiguous environment to ensure deliverables are achieved
About You • Proficient knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including Excel spread sheets and functions, Word and PowerPoint skills • High proficiency in Outlook • Attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrate ability to manage time and multiple commitments • Strong problem solving skills and ability to proactively anticipating solutions • Ability to self-motivate and self-direct • Positive attitude and strong orientation toward team work • Bachelor degree required
