Job Description

ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS The county is composed of six Constituencies, 15 administrative divisions namely: Ainamoi,Belgut, Kabianga, Bureti, Roret, Cheborge, Sigowet and Soin. Other Admibnistrative Divisions are: Kunyak, Chilchila, Kamasian, Kipkelion, Londiani, Sorget and Chepseon. These are further su-devided into 85 locations that are further sub-divided into 209 sub-locations. It covers an area of2,479 sq. km.

Duties and responsibilities
- Testing and stamping mechanical and electronic weighing and measuring equipment;
- Collecting data on verified equipment at traders premises, stamping stations and verification office;
- Sampling pre-packaged goods for qualitative analysis
- Preparing testing equipment for inspection and investigation purposes;
- Preparing weighing and measuring equipment during trade fairs and exhibitions;
- Giving evidence in court on cases arising from infringement of the weights and measures Act (Cap 513) and trade descriptions Act (Cap 505).
Requirements for internship
- Be unemployed graduate from a recognized institution having graduated within the last three (3) years (2020,2021,2022);
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: -Physics, Mathematics, Legal Metrology, Information Communication ICT, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Certificate in Computer application from a recognized institution;
- Have no previous work experience related to the area of study;
- Certificate of good conduct.
