Our Client specializes in sales of construction equipment, pumping equipment, and workshop equipment and seeks to hire a Sales Representative whose primary responsibility is direct selling where the sales representative visit all the customers, and introduce & demonstrate the products using catalogs, samples, and car boot to close on the sale.
Role & Responsibilities
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying the existing and potential volume of customers. Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Help customers select products based on the customers’ needs, product specifications, and regulations
- Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers’ needs and technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
- Answer customers’ questions about prices, availability, and product uses
- Negotiate prices and terms of sale and service agreements
- Prepare sales contracts and submit orders for processing
- Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies and marketing information.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related Targets as needed.
- Any other duties as delegated by the management
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Sales and Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Sales preferably of machinery or equipment specific to generators, construction equipment, and workshop equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Team Player
- Conversant with Microsoft office package especially excel
- Highly motivated with a proven track record in sales
- A proactive individual with initiative and self-drive
- Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
