Our client, one of the leading FMCG companies in Kenya seeks to hire a Sales Representative who will be tasked with selling products and meeting customer needs while obtaining orders from existing or potential sales outlets and ensuring customer satisfaction. Ensuring that all sales proceeds are duly remitted to the relevant accounts as per the laid down company procedures .

Key Responsibilities

• Present, promote, and sell dairy products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers through van selling.
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
• Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
• Analyze the territory /market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
• Supply management with reports on customer needs and interests, competitors’ activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Reconcile the sales accounts for the various products on a daily basis.
• Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.

Key qualifications & skills

• Diploma/Certificate in Sales & Marketing or Business Management/Administration with at least 2 years’ experience as a Sales Representative in Dairy setup/Food Industry.  
• Knowledge of Computer skills (MS Office).
• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
• Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills.
• Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
• Driving skills and a valid driving license.
