Job Description

The mandate of the Board is contained in section 59 of the County Government Acts 2012. These include establishing and abolishing offices in the County Public Service, appointing persons who hold and act in offices of the Public service among others. Achievements For the time the Board has been in office it has managed to put in place critical structures to enable the County Government to operate efficiently Targets To ensure that all the Departments have adequate staff to enable them deliver services. Projects Development of appropriate policies, values , standards, systems and processes inhuman resource management and development Capacity development and management of human resource Event The Board is currently undertaking recruitment of staff for the department of public works and that of Finance and Planning. Requirements for Appointment
  • Kenyan Citizen;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or a relevant field;
  • Be Registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a graduate engineer or its relevant equivalent and in good standing; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervision of all road construction and maintenance works;
  • Preparation of all work programmes for all camps;
  • ensuring that all ledgers, work tickets, log sheets, returns, master rolls, daily activity cards, etc, for camps are properly completed in time and submitted as required;
  • Advising on the priorities for maintenance programmes and required distribution of plant, vehicles and staff; and
  • Ensuring that all camps receive the necessary stores, materials, fuel and tools to undertake work assigned to them; and representing the department in interdepartmental meetings.
