Job Description
The mandate of the Board is contained in section 59 of the County Government Acts 2012. These include establishing and abolishing offices in the County Public Service, appointing persons who hold and act in offices of the Public service among others. Achievements For the time the Board has been in office it has managed to put in place critical structures to enable the County Government to operate efficiently Targets To ensure that all the Departments have adequate staff to enable them deliver services. Projects Development of appropriate policies, values , standards, systems and processes inhuman resource management and development Capacity development and management of human resource Event The Board is currently undertaking recruitment of staff for the department of public works and that of Finance and Planning. Requirements for Appointment:-
- Be a Kenyan citizen;
- Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in the following discipline Tourism Management, project management, Marketing or related field from a recognized institution in Kenya;
- Member of a recognized professional body relevant to the above requirements;
- Must have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than 3 years in a related area;
- Demonstrate professional competency in work performance and result; and
- Proficiency in computer applications;
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operationalizing Tourism Marketing activities;
- Devising tourism Development initiatives/campaign;
- Tourism Product development and diversification;
- Tourism stakeholders’ management;
- Updating and improvement of the County Tourism Database;
- Handling tourism stakeholder’s complaints/suggestion and providing feedback to stakeholders;
- Assist in Tourism Research;
- Provide literature and information on local, interstate and international tours and places of interest;
- Preparing periodic tourism reports with supervisor; and
- Manning Tourism information Centre.
